changed it into 3 cells, ive been using the same unit since dec 2008, my findings so far are: lesser noise going to 2000rpms, i still dont know mpg gains or loss, engine is fine running at 1000rpms on flat roads on fourth or fifth gear (engine usually rattles with the unit turned off), while running at 2000rpms at 80 kph(5th gear) i then turned the unit off and i lose 200rpms and 5kph in about a minute or so, 3 units in a series circuit produce lesser heat and wont burn the wires and the lid, water becomes murky in about 4 months. well, i wish i had the time and money to build me one of those plate cells….. oh yeah the engine starts faster with the unit turned on and i dont know why…..
